Welcome

We are delighted that you can join us for Alpha Collective and experience the unique opportunity to:

  • Connect with other like-minded churches from across denominations
  • Hear what God is doing right now to reach people and navigate our cultural realities
  • Learn how your church’s kingdom impact can go to the next level

About this Event

We are delighted that the keynote speakers on Day 1 are Nicky Gumbel (HTB) and Father Simon Lobo (St Benedict Parish, Canada). During this two-day online event you will have the opportunity to hear and discuss church ministry and evangelism in a post-Christian, digital context with other churches who run Alpha as part of their church culture. We will also share the significance and practicalities of being a Hub Church and hear from others about the value and benefit of being an Alpha Hub Church.

In the sessions you will hear from senior leaders about the significance of Alpha in the current cultural moment, and how Alpha is impacting the culture of their church and surrounding communities. In the breakout rooms you will have a chance to share your thoughts and receive ministry.

We anticipate great times of discovery, new friendships, and encountering God together.

We are looking forward to welcoming you at the Alpha Collective event!

Panel Guests

Calum Lindsay – Highland Park Presbyterian Church

Calum Lindsay is Pastor for Alpha and Worship at Highland Park Presbyterian Church (HP Pres) in Dallas, TX. His main role is to lead Alpha at HP Pres. and loves creating ways for “friends to invite friends to explore faith.” His role also includes being an Alpha Hub Church Director, encouraging other churches running Alpha. He also supports the Senior Pastor in the areas of prayer and worship.
Calum then studied at Edinburgh University, while there he was invited to Alpha where he came to faith and developed a passion for Jesus and a heart for the local church. He was involved at HTB (Holy Trinity Brompton, London), for eight years, four of which were on staff promoting and leading prayer gatherings. Calum trained for ordination in the Church of England at Ridley Hall, Cambridge then serving at a thriving church plant in West London.
Calum met his wife, Hillary, in London when she was working at HTB. They married in 2015 and moved to Dallas in 2016 along with Roddy their Labrador. Their daughter Flora was born in 2018 making her the only native Texan in the household!

Kiersten Telzerow – National Community Church

Kiersten lives in Washington DC with her husband Matt and has a goldendoodle named Luna. She currently works at National Community Church as a Small Group Director. Prior to this, she went to school for ministry, was a resident at a church in Georgia and then graduated with an M.Div. In addition, Kiersten serves as one of the Alpha Hub Church Directors for the DC metro area. She absolutely loves Alpha and the opportunity it allows for people to enter into a conversation exploring some of the things they may be questioning or curious about. “It’s hard to find a safe space like that, especially in the city, and I believe that Alpha offers that space and plants seeds at the same time.”
